Character Guidelines

Character Guidelines apply to everyone, Roleplayers and Staff alike

We have few restrictions on characters allowed in the space between — and no list of races or detailed appearance guide. Anyone from any point in space or time is able to fall into this pocket of unreality — allowing for a wide variety of characters to inhabit this world.

Characters must be Original Characters

⫸ Characters, races and lore you do not own the rights to cannot be used. (i.e. Vex from Critical Roll, a Miqo’te from FFXIV, Daenerys Targaryen’s third cousin twice removed from Game of Thrones).

  • If you have an OC heavily associative with the lore of a Franchise, alter or remove the lore directly associated with the franchise. (i.e. a Professor at Hogwarts altered to be a Professor at a Magical School for Sorcerers). If you’re uncertain what should be changed, ask in the Discord.

Characters cannot be based upon real people

⫸ This includes both historical figures or currently living individuals.

Characters cannot be based directly on real deities or religious figures

⫸ Real world gods, prophets or deities should not be used as roleplay characters. (i.e. Yahweh, Shiva, Brahman, Thor, Muhammad)

  • If you have an OC based on a real religious figure, alter them in a way so they are not a direct recreation.

Characters must be adults in both age and appearance.

⫸ Factors that contribute to a childlike appearance are not simply ‘being short’. Use of Child Avatars will result in an immediate sim ban.

  • If playing an inhuman monster, or feral creature, this applies to the age and appearance of their species.
